EduSoMedia was not a Model of Learning or Teaching when it was first coined or framed. The story behind the country's (in fact world's) first Innovative Learning Model of Social Media Integration into HigherEd started without a name or title.

It was later that we named it getting the Education through Social Media - EduSoMedia Mission.

At Amity University Noida, students are assigned the way they are done at any other place in the world. Once the class is there, you carry the ritualistic curriculum and books to make them pass the examinations. There is everything right with this way of imparting education as I have also been made by one such system. The wrong is on the part of participants who neglect the dominating presence of 'surrounding' resources. Technology isn't the projector or computer alone. The ever-growing world of the Internet also had something to do with learning.

I took the call, calculated risk, in fact, to experiment with Social Media Platforms for Teaching-Learning. The students made blogs and later posted their assignments on the blogs. This was followed by Class Blogs and an unending journey of Personalised and Professionally planned integration. The students not only submitted their assignments at the end of semesters, every week there was something that was written by all of them. Their youtube presentations got the embedding way to appear and their Power-point presentations also got embedded on the blogs.

This wasn't enough as there was not an end to Social Media. We could not find Audio or Video of Short Stories and without hesitation moved ahead to fulfil this need. Then came the Podcasts on Sound Cloud. All these things - Youtube Digital Presentation Videos, Presentations, Podcasts -were making a good impact on them. Students made their LinkedIn Profiles and turned conscious of Online Reputation Management. The only thing I could understand each day was that they trusted me with whatever I was doing to them. Getting introduced to Social Media's Educational side was something first in the world in the first decade of this century. Get to Know More of EduSoMedia Blogs

We turned the eyes on Twitter then. TweetChats did happen but not much because the other counterparts kept us engaged and our introduction with Twitter and the TweetChats was done satisfactorily.

These contributions are listed on the web and can be searched with the term EduSoMedia.

Now, after a few years of hibernation, I got in my hands the same possibilities. I got access to minds who are fertile as well as deserving. The HigherEd classrooms are always like this. The Physiotherapy graduates are in their First Year and I have only these few months left to make them see the world of EduSoMedia.

TweetChat with the hashtag #bptMMDU2019 was done today. Around 100 tweets were there to showcase to the world that We are Coming! It was a fun-filled activity to read and explain the short story and then ask them Questions via TweetChat. Using technology in the classroom is using that technology which is used by the students, rather than imposing machines that we have bought.

I am not aware of where would we reach with the innovative learning expedition. But, I am sure of one thing that these students today made me feel confident about their competence to learn. This post is a thanking gesture to the superstars, who make my days worth.
